An idea… and other stuff

Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 1:08 pm (General ramblings)

Hello, people! I’m in French, and done with my semester test. Wahooo! No more school work for this year! My k-12 education is basically over!

I have to go to Honors Night tonight, but I reeeeeally don’t want to. That’s where you get awarded scholarships and receive recognition for all kinds of crap. It’s going to be very long and boring. Kaitlin and G have to be on the auditorium stage longer, though, because they’re both smarter than me and are therefore in more groups. See, it sometimes pays to be dumb! Mwahahaha!! Just kidding. I really don’t think I’m dumb. I just read a whole article in Seventeen about self-respect and crap like that, so I’m all empowered now. Hee hee.

I’m listening to Good Charlotte, but am thinking about changing the song because this is getting annoying.

There. Now it’s Diana Degarmo. I hope I spelled that right.

You know what I should do? Post parts of the File in here! That way y’all can be entertained with my ramblings. What is the File, you ask? ‘Tis a special kind of journal that I used to write in when I got bored in class. This was, of course, before I acquired my wonderful laptop and BrailleNote, which now help to entertain me. G, Kaitlin, Mary, J, and maybe certain people in Kaitlin’s family have all experienced the File. Sometimes (OK… maybe all the time) it can be a bit odd, but what do you expect? This is me we’re talking about here!

Anyway, I shall post my File in the near future if I get comments from my dear readers saying that it’s a good idea. You can also, of course, comment if you think it’s a horrible idea, or comment if you think this entry sucks, or comment if you don’t think anything, or comment on the new Dixie Chicks album… anything you want! I like comments. They make me happy. So do signatures in the guest book.

OK, I must go do my last French oral ever now. See ya! Parting thought: OFF THE FLORIDA KEEEEEEEYS, THERE’S A PLACE CALLED COCOMO… (Beach Boys lyrics)

Guess who’s back, back again? KD’s back! Tell a friend!

Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 10:47 am (General ramblings)

An incredibly old joke, I know, but I couldn’t resist. For those of y’all who don’t keep up with the current music scene (actually this song isn’t too current anymore), the title of this entry was a play on some Eminem lyrics. (Some jokes don’t seem that funny if you have to explain them. Have you noticed that?)

Anyway, I’m still in bed, enjoying my free morning. I have a band banquet tonight, but nothing else. Yesterday I had an entirely free day! I spent it reading, making fruit slush with Mom for my graduation party, and Brailling Apples to Apples cards. I have to get them all done before Wednesday, because my Brailler belongs to the school and I can’t graduate unless I turn it in! Scary thought, no?

Guess what? Maybe I’m just jealous, I can’t help but hate her! Secretly I wonder if my boyfriend wants to date her…

Hee hee. That’s the song that’s on the radio right now, “Girl Next Door” by Saving Jane. I likes it. I started writing a version of it from the other girl’s point of view, but got distracted and never finished it.

Anyway, I think I’ll go down and see if Dad has finished making our waffles for brunch. Mmmmmmm… Parting thought: I BEEN KNOWIN’ YOU SINCE YOU WERE 10! YOU CANNOT HIDE FROM YOUR FRIENDS!!! MWAHAHAHAHHAA! (Lyrics to “Girl” by DC, and yes, I added the evil laugh because I’m weird; it’s not really in the song. That would be funny, though…)

Braindead!

Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 6:51 pm (Happenings in KD's life)

OK, so I didn’t write for over a week. I am ever so sorry. In my defense, though, I’ve been very busy. And this entry is probably going to be very short because I have no brain left at the moment. I have an A.P. English test tomorrow, along with a chorale concert and a dentist appointment. I also have a senior banquet on Sunday, a band concert next Thursday, a band banquet next Saturday, a choir banquet the day after that, Honors Night the Tuesday after that, Musicalia that Thursday if I make it (the audition was today and it went pretty well), and finally, graduation! So yeah, I probably won’t be writing faithfully for a while. Try to master your grief, my hordes upon hordes of avid readers.

Anyway, gotta go get ready for church. I hope y’all’s lives are full of sunshine and butterflies and dancing sugarplumb fairies. Or, if you take a gloomier view, I hope they’re full of death, destruction, and decay! Parting thought: I SEE THE LOVE IN YOUR EYES! OR–MAYBE YOU’RE JUST TIRED. BUT I THOUGHT I SAW LOVE THERE… (Something a British D.J. said to Michelle from DC)
